How it works

  1. 01

    Pick a skill

Each skill covers one HR task, from drafting a review to planning a hard conversation.

  2. 02

Add it to your AI tool

Run one command in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, or upload the skill's ZIP to Claude.ai or ChatGPT.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain language

Say what you need. The skill asks for the right inputs, follows a proven process and checks its own work.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI skill?
A skill is a reusable set of instructions your AI assistant follows for a specific task. When you ask for help with that task, the assistant loads the skill and works through its steps: it asks for the right inputs, follows a proven process, checks its own work and tells you when HR leadership or employment counsel should be involved.
Which AI tools can I use these skills with?
Any tool that supports the open Agent Skills format, including Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor. In coding agents, install a skill with one npx command. In Claude.ai and ChatGPT, download the skill's ZIP and upload it in your skills settings, where your plan supports skills, or paste the SKILL.md and ask your assistant to create a skill from it.
Do I need Windmill to use these skills?
No. Every skill works on its own with whatever you paste or upload, like notes, review drafts, survey exports or your handbook. If your company uses Windmill, connect the Windmill MCP server and the skills pull context straight from Windmill instead: review questions and drafts, the work Windmill has gathered from your connected tools, feedback, 1:1 notes, goals and pulse results.
Are the skills free?
Yes. The skills are free and open source under the MIT license. You can read every instruction on GitHub before you install anything, and adapt the skills to your company's process.
What happens to employee data when I use a skill?
A skill is only instructions. It doesn't send data anywhere on its own. The information you share goes to the AI tool you're using, so use a tool your company has approved and share only what the task needs. With Windmill connected, the skill sees only what your Windmill account can see, and it never changes anything in Windmill without showing you the exact change and getting your go-ahead.
Do the skills give legal advice?
No. When a situation has legal exposure, like a planned termination, a leave or accommodation request, or a complaint, the skills say so and tell you to bring in HR leadership or employment counsel. They frame legal points as questions for counsel and never tell you an action is legally safe.
